Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2013 Conference on the Value of Play: Taking Action! Deadline for submissions is end of day (5:00pm EDT) on Thursday, October 4, 2012.

*Would you like your presentation submission to be considered for one of the US Play Coalition research grants awarded at the conference?

*If you select this option and your presentation is accepted, your presentation will be added to the list of candidates in the running to receive a $3,000 research award. These awards will be given to researchers whose work reflects great potential for expanding our knowledge of the value of play. Funds will be granted as seed funds in support of longitudinal or future research in diverse topics related to play.

*Would you like your presentation submission to be considered for one of the US Play Coalition action grants awarded at the conference?

*If you select this option and your presentation is accepted, your presentation will be added to the list of candidates in the running to receive a $1,000 action award. These awards will be given to playmakers whose work reflects great potential for creating action in their community to engage individuals in play or to advance the value of play. Funds will be granted as seed funds in support of future actions and events related to play.

  • US Play Coalition’s 2015 Conference on the Value of Play: Advancing Play - February 15, 2015 to February 18, 2015 - This conference is an opportunity to share how you are implementing innovative strategies to engage your community in play. We also seek research that illuminates the diverse benefits of play including physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Our goal is to bring these many perspectives together and to facilitate the development of new methods of advancing the play movement. Keynote speakers include Dr. Peter Gray and Dr. Kevin Ross Emery.
