*Would you like your presentation submission to be considered for one of the US Play Coalition research grants awarded at the conference?

*If you select this option and your presentation is accepted, your presentation will be added to the list of candidates in the running to receive a $3,000 research award. These awards will be given to researchers whose work reflects great potential for expanding our knowledge of the value of play. Funds will be granted as seed funds in support of longitudinal or future research in diverse topics related to play.

*Would you like your presentation submission to be considered for one of the US Play Coalition action grants awarded at the conference?

*If you select this option and your presentation is accepted, your presentation will be added to the list of candidates in the running to receive a $1,000 action award. These awards will be given to playmakers whose work reflects great potential for creating action in their community to engage individuals in play or to advance the value of play. Funds will be granted as seed funds in support of future actions and events related to play.

  • Deadline July 24 – Call for Proposals on Public Health Law Research - June 12 to July 24 - The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has released the 2013 Call for Proposals on “Public Health Law Research: Making the Case for Laws that Improve Health.” The program seeks to build evidence for and strengthen the use of regulatory, legal and policy solutions to improve public health. Policies about recess, physical activity, unstructured play, and liability statutes for schoolyard playgrounds might be possible play topics to tie into the call.
